Full Tilt starts $25K Heads-up PLO Championship

Scheduled for Sept. 6-7 the event will likely garner the attention of PLO masters like David Benyamine, Phil Ivey and Patrik Antonius along with online wizards like Tom "durrr" Dwan, Emil "Whitelime" Patel and Brian "Stinger885" Hastings.

Full Tilt Poker pioneered the concept of high buy-in heads-up online tournaments with their inaugural $25,000 No-Limit competition that saw a total of 64 high stakes players battle it out until only one reigned supreme.

In the end it was Team Full Tilt pro David Singer who outlasted a field that included Andy Bloch, Howard Lederer and Gus Hansen. Singer eventually beat whitelime to take down $560,000 for first place.

The Full Tilt $25K Heads-up PLO Championship will be the largest heads-up PLO tournament in the history of the game and there will likely be fireworks as the elite players try to press their edge in Hold'em's four hole card cousin.

The final two rounds of play will begin at 16:00 EST on Sunday, Sept. 7, and Full Tilt poker is encouraging players to pull up a virtual chair and sweat their favorite players attempt to take the PLO crown. Full Tilt will be offering $5,000 in added money to those that take part in the sweat tournaments. The sweat tournaments offer something for the players with a slightly smaller bank roll to play while watching the big $25K event.

Full Tilt will also be providing video highlights for fans interested in watching the semis or the finals.
