PokerTek announced the field trial this week, which could see the fully automated poker tables heading into Las Vegas.
"We're excited that PokerPro has received field trial authorization in Nevada," said Chris Halligan, PokerTek's CEO. "We've worked hard to make PokerPro a highly secure and feature rich product, and look forward to introducing automated poker into this market for the first time."
The company also recently announced a field trial in New Jersey, with Trump Plaza Casino in Atlantic City opening up an automated poker room with 12 PokerPro tables.
PokerTek has now installed its automated poker tables in locations all over the world, including on some cruise ships.
The dealerless, electronic poker tables provide screens for players to see their cards on and allow them to make their bets electronically. They are designed to provide Texas Hold'em for casino customers without the casinos having to outfit a cardroom and train dealers.
