It was another record-breaking event for the HPT, which saw 480 players shoot for poker glory at the main event of the Majestic Star series.
Sigsbee, who is a 23-year-old aspiring golfer and options trader, took down $206,273 for his final table performance.
"This feels pretty good," said Sigsbee. "Now it's off to the golf course."
Despite playing poker for the entire weekend Sigsbee, who is a recent graduate of Notre Dame, has plans to play in the upcoming 36 hole U.S. amateur in Indiana.
Sigsbee credited his career as a stock options trader for giving him skills that helped win the tournament.
"Options trading and poker are very similar," said Sigsbee. "It's all about managing risk and taking advantage of probabilities."
Majestic Star is always one of the most popular stops on the HPT and this year was obviously no exception.
"We always love when the HPT comes to Majestic," said poker room manager Dominic Niro. "Our players love playing in big tournaments and these are always the biggest tournaments in the Chicago land area."
With the season halfway finished the HPT's next stop will be Soaring Eagle Casino in Michigan which is new stop for the tour.
"We've had a really good year so far," said HPT co-founder Todd Anderson. "We've had eight new champions and some record prize pools. We're looking forward to the rest of the year. There are some great stops on the tour."
Here's a look at the rest of the final table finishers at HPT Majestic Star:
