The LEOCOP IV is Europe's longest running and biggest added-money online poker tournament according to Ladbrokes. This year it will run Oct. 26-Nov. 9, with a Masters Event on Nov. 17.

The main event will take place Nov. 9 and has a $1,000+$100 buy-in. Plus Ladbrokes Poker will be pitching in an extra $150,000 for the prize pool.

California State Poker Championship starts Sept. 2

With WPT Legends in full swing over at the Bicycle Casino the California State Poker Championship will kick off in barely a week at the Commerce.

Starting Sept. 2 and running until Sept. 21 players of all skill levels will have a chance to compete in No-Limit Hold'em events with buy-ins varying from $120 up to $1,580 that make up a total of 18 events. Satellites for the series are already underway at the Commerce.

Schwaiger, from Austria, will be making his way to the Sun City Million Dollar Poker Tournament in South Africa in September courtesy of a prize package he won at Titan Poker. Plus the 21-year-old has won a shot in t he upcoming $2.5 million Guaranteed tournament at the poker site.

PokerStars announced this week there is already a line-up of 20 top poker champions eager to hit the felt for Season 2 of the APPT in Macau.

The latest addition to the list of players planning to be there when the cards hit the felt Sept. 1 is Johnny Chan. The 10-time World Series of Poker gold bracelet winner has more than $6.7 million in tournament earnings to his name and plans to add to that in Macau.
