U.K. Gambling Commission releases 2008 report

Of the 8,000 adults surveyed by the U.K. Gambling Commission as of June 2008 a total of 8.8% said they had participated in at least one form of remote gambling (through a computer, mobile phone or interactive/digital TV) in the previous month. This is the same percentage the study found in 2007.

Espinar topped a field of 351 players, the second-largest on the LAPT so far, en route to claiming the Punta del Este title. The bill, which is titled H.R. 6663 or the Unlawful Internet Enforcement Clarification and Implementation Act (UIGEACIA), was introduced to congress by Pete Sessions last week and will attempt to define what falls under the scope unlawful internet gambling.
